Kid's Beginner Workshop is $130 for four 1-hour sessions (total of 4 hours).

Location for this event is 3480 E. Main Street, College Park, GA 30337 (St. John's Episcopal Church).

Class size: 6 students maximum per session.

Me & My Bestie Learn To Sew Workshop

Friday September 22, 2023

Times: 6:00 PM- 8:30 PM. (Ages 8+) All ages are welcomed!

Me & My Bestie Workshop is $200 for one 2.5-hour session (total of 2.5 hours). Admission is for 2 people!

Location for this event is 3480 E. Main Street, College Park, GA 30337 (St. John's Episcopal Church).

Class size: 6 students maximum per session.

This is a skill-building program for students to acquire knowledge of basic sewing techniques. This is a private group workshop (6 participants max.) built to promote independence and confidence, build community amongst sewists and foster possible career avenues and side income potentials amongst participants. No prior experience is required …. only an open mind!

***When paying for the workshop please include e-mail and phone number. Further registration is required. After payment is made and e-mail will be sent from whatsshecreating@gmail.com within 48 hours. This e-mail will include contract for services and media consent and pre sewing questionnaire. Masks are not required for these workshops! Masks are preferred.

Church Conditions ***The church has a No-Child Abuse Policy in place in which they request parents to stay on campus for the length of the class. There is seating inside the Fellowship Hall also. Thanks for complying. ***

Please arrive 10 minutes early in order to set up sewing machine and be ready for class session.

All supplies are included in Beginner registration! Sewing machine, notions, fabric, and other materials are included in the class fee. Feel free to bring 1 yard of cotton fabric for the first month of projects.

Outline of Beginner Month 1st Session:

Session #1

Introductions, Discuss your sewing why?, An Introduction to Sewing and Flowing, Basic Sewing Tools/Notions, Explaining Sewing Machine, Threading, Machine Stitching Practice and Review Techniques. Start Pillow Project.

Session #2

Review of Session #1 Information and Stitching Practice, Fabric Basics 101, Cutting basics. Finish Pillow Project.

Session #3 and #4

Review Session #1 and #2 Information, Start scrunchie or basic tote bag. Work on completing projects.

NEW PRIVATE LEARN TO SEW SEMINARS!

Learn to sew in a private one session or more seminar. Participants will leave the workshop with an understanding of basic sewing machine skills, knowledge of basic sewing tools, basic troubleshooting techniques and create one easy sewn project. No prior experience required!

Dates are available upon request in the College Park, GA location only.

Times: TBA
