Advanced Beginner Kids Sew Workshop

Dates: Saturday's October 7, 14, 21, 28, 2023.

Times:

11:10 AM- 12:10 PM. Intermediate Beginner Kid's Session (Ages 8-14) $130

2:15 PM-3:15 PM Intermediate Beginner Kid's Session (Ages 8-14). $130

2:15 PM-3:45 PM Intermediate Beginner Kid's Session (Ages 8-14). $205

Kid's Intermediate Beginner Workshop is $205 for four 1.5-hour sessions (total of 6 hours).

Kids Intermediate Workshop is $130 for four 1-hour sessions (total of 4 hours).

Location for this event is 3480 E. Main Street, College Park, GA 30337 (St. John's Episcopal Church).

Church Conditions ***The church has a No-Child Abuse Policy in place in which they request parents to stay on campus for the length of the class. There is seating inside the Fellowship Hall also. Thanks for complying. ***

Class size: 6 students maximum per session.

This is a skill-building program for students to acquire knowledge of more advanced sewing techniques. This is a private group workshop built:

-To promote independence and confidence,

-Build community amongst sewists and

-Foster possible career avenues and side income potentials amongst participants.

Prerequisite: One full month of Kids Beginner Sewing Workshop or knowledge of threading sewing machine, sewing straight lines, curves and squares.

This is a monthly program with the option of discontinuing as needed. Participants will need to sign up with Omella payment processor for automatic payment each month. Each month a new technique will be discussed and created through a one-of-a-kind project. October-Zippers, November-Interfacings December-Working with Knits or Freestyle Design.

Intermediate Beginner Sample projects for October include: Skirt with zipper, shirt with zipper, zipper pouch bag, etc.

Intermediate participants will need to purchase a basic sewing kit for monthly classes. Students will need to provide some fabrics and notions depending on student selected projects.

Masks are not required for these workshops! Masks are preferred.

Please arrive 10 minutes early in order to set up the sewing machine and be ready for the class session.
